Dell 10GbE Active Fabric Network Modernisation Deployment

Krome designed and delivered a high‑performance Dell Active Fabric network, introducing a modern leaf‑spine architecture to dramatically increase throughput, reduce latency and improve resiliency across the studio’s infrastructure.

The new solution replaced the legacy 1GbE environment with a 10GbE core and edge network, enabling significantly faster transfer of large game build files and improving day‑to‑day performance for developers. The architecture was carefully designed to support converged networking and future storage upgrades without increasing complexity.

To eliminate disruption to the business, Krome implemented the entire solution over a single weekend. When employees returned to work on Monday morning, the new network was fully operational, delivering immediate and clearly noticeable performance improvements without any downtime.
