Education Technology Case Study: AMX Interactive Learning for NESCOT College

Overview

Enhancing accessibility and engagement in further education through innovative classroom technology for inclusive learning.

NESCOT (North East Surrey College of Technology) is a leading further and higher education college based in Epsom, supporting students locally, nationally and internationally. The college has a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality education and has achieved outstanding ratings across multiple areas of provision.

Within its Preparation for Life and Work department, NESCOT supports students with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them build essential life skills through practical, hands‑on education. The college sought to enhance its facilities with technology that could improve accessibility, engagement and learning outcomes for all students.

Krome Technologies was engaged to recommend and implement a solution that would support inclusive learning environments. This education technology case study highlights how Krome helped NESCOT deliver a more interactive and accessible teaching experience through innovative AV technology.

Interactive AV Learning & Assistive Technology Solution

As part of this assistive learning technology case study, Krome implemented an AMX-based audio‑visual solution within the college’s teaching kitchens to support practical learning activities.

The system enables tutors to record and broadcast live demonstrations to classroom screens, allowing all students to clearly follow each step of the lesson. Recorded sessions can then be replayed on demand at individual workstations, giving students the flexibility to learn at their own pace and revisit key concepts when needed.

This approach has significantly improved accessibility for students who may struggle to observe live demonstrations, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities. The centralised content platform also allows teaching staff to build a structured library of learning materials, enhancing consistency and supporting ongoing development.
