Krome Technologies, a leading provider of technology solutions and services, is pleased to announce a record growth in 2022 with the company’s UK turnover increasing by 24%.

Following its thirteenth year of trading, Technology Consultancy Krome Technologies today announces a strong set of financial results and operational performance for 2021/22 demonstrating a steady and organic growth pattern.

Krome, founded in 2009, with its head office in Surrey, increased its revenue from £17.2m in 2021, to a staggering £21.4m in its financial year 1st Nov 2021 – 1st Nov 2022, with their gross profit also rising by 22% in the same period.

In addition to its UK turnover, Krome also expanded its operations into international markets in 2022, opening a new EU subsidiary, Krome Technologies BV, in the Netherlands; with Krome BV recording a turnover of €1.3m in its first year of operation. With a combined turnover of £22.6 million across their UK and EU operations, this has been their strongest year to date.

Whilst Krome has built its business upon maintaining long-term strategic client relationships, they’ve added several new clients to their customer list this year, including a European oil refinery, an NHS trust, a UK Bank, and several educational institutions, one of their most notable new client partnerships this year is with another IT and Telecoms provider, for whom they are providing a 24×7 white labeled helpdesk service for.

Key growth areas for Krome in 2022 included the launch of its fully manned 24×7, security and network operation services in the form of their NOC and SOC, based in Krome’s head office in Surrey. They had previously operated a 24×7 on-call NOC, and recognise this as a natural expansion of their services. The company also saw considerable growth in its helpdesk support services, which increased overall by 42% to £5.5m.

Other growth areas included the sales of security solutions from Palo Alto Networks, increasing by 62%, along with Dell Technologies sales, which increased by 15% to £7.5m, Notably, Apple sales saw a massive 516% increase from £335k to just over £2m, while Microsoft Licensing sales increased by 13% with VMware sales also seeing significant growth, increasing by 172%.

Rupert Mills, Krome Co-Founder and CEO comments:

“We are thrilled with the strong growth we have achieved in 2022, and we are excited to be expanding our operations in the EU through Krome Technologies BV. The launch of our 24×7 NOC & SOC services were a key focus for 2022 and I look forward to seeing how that will improve our service offering to our clients throughout the coming years. As an organisation, we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality technology solutions and services possible and look forward to continued growth and success in the future.”

Whilst increased efficiency means Krome has only made a small number of hires across the business, an overall staff increase of 7%, significant growth has been seen in its technical teams, increases being mainly in its helpdesk and its senior technical team. They have also expanded departments by making several internal promotions throughout 2022.

The company has an ambitious vision: to be the UK’s most people-centric technology consultancy. In addition to its focus on delivering the highest service levels and leading technology solutions for its customers, Krome are also committed to investing in its people, internal systems, and overall business culture to deliver an enhanced customer and employee experience.

Sam Mager, Krome Co-Founder and Commercial Director commented:

“We set out this year determined to break through the £20 million mark, it has not been without its challenges, but we are delighted to have not only achieved £21.4m in our UK operations, but to see a further €1.3m revenue income from our EU operations is incredible.

Our success this year is down to the hard work and commitment from every person, across the business. The team have worked collaboratively to enable us to launch new services, a new EU operation, whilst continuing to offer the highest level of service for our clients. It is this teamwork that has enabled us to report such a successful outcome for 2022 and we look forward to celebrating further growth next year.”
