In this session, Paul Edwards (Head of Security Operations) will walk you through the key security tools built into Microsoft 365, focusing on what you can easily configure and monitor in-house.

Whether you’re just getting started or want to sanity-check your current setup, this session is designed to give you clarity and control over your environment.

Join the session to explore practical ways to strengthen your M365 security. We’ll cover the essentials and share tips you can start applying straight away.

Session Overview:

  • Overview of M365 security ecosystem: Defender, compliance center, and risk monitoring
  • Real-time threat detection: Simulate an endpoint compromise and view alerts
  • Phishing simulations using Microsoft Attack Simulation Training
  • Using Defender to identify Vulnerabilities
  • Understanding the Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance portal layout
  • Applying basic Conditional Access policies (e.g. MFA for risky sign-ins)
  • Reporting and insights: what to track, and how to present value to the business
