Krome Technologies are proud to support local special needs organisation, The Grassroots Project, supplying and fitting out the centres classroom with technology equipment.
Over the past few months, a team of dedicated local community members have been working hard to complete and launch a new facility in Egham committed to providing horticulture, leisure services and essential life skills for the special needs community.
With the aim to open the facility in the Autumn of 2012, the Grassroots team enlisted the help and support of many local tradesmen and businesses, including Krome Technologies, Kerry Foods and Chandlers Building Supplies, all of whom have helped transform the site into an outstanding, fully functioning, educational and social centre for adults and children alike.
Grassroots is dedicated to offering care and leisure services that aren’t necessarily already available to the special needs community. Krome were approached by Grassroots to support them with the supply of PCs for their teaching room. Krome agreed to donate both equipment and time to this fantastic project and supplied and installed the complete classroom suite with PCs, monitors, networking equipment and printer devices, additionally Krome were also responsible for supplying furniture, supplying several office desks and chairs to the centre.
Krome’s sister company Krome Design have also donated time to the project, developing the Grassroots logo, brochure and website free of charge.
Grassroots was officially opened by her majesties lord lieutenant of Surrey, Dame Sarah Goad on Wednesday the 26th of September; the opening day was a huge success seeing several council members, local community members and businesses in attendance to support the project.
Krome are enthusiastic about the future of the project and have committed to continue to provide ongoing support to the project.
