Krome Expands Team with Four New Hires this Month

Following their ongoing success and commitment for growth, Krome continue to expand their teams across the organisation, appointing four new hires in April, including the appointment of a new Sales Manager

Following five consecutively successful years of trading, Krome Technologies remain as motivated as ever to continue exceeding expectations and remaining true to its core value of providing a consistent and exceptional high level of service. In order to maintain this high standard and to continue to forge their growth plans, Krome have added several new members into their established team and are on a recruitment drive with a view to adding a further 10 members of staff over the coming months.

Krome have added 4 new members to the team over the last month alone; the four new positions consist of a newly appointed Sales Manager to manage their southern sales team, a new tier three Senior Technical Consultant with strong expertise around Microsoft Lync, and an additional member of the first line technical support team, along with a further administrator within the large managed accounts team. Krome are delighted to officially welcome them to the team.

Malcolm Field, Sales Manager

Malcolm is as highly qualified professional with over 25 years’ experience within the IT industry, having previously worked in senior sales management roles at organisations such as Computer Associates, Avnet Technology Solutions and Advantech Corporation. Malcolm is taking over the responsibility of managing the sales team from Krome’s Commercial Director, freeing up his resource to focus on accelerating Krome through their next growth phase. Malcolm has a proven track record of developing high performing sales teams and brings with him a wealth of experience, coaching skills and sales leadership to Krome.

Commenting on his new position, Malcolm said “I’m looking forward to combining my industry knowledge and experience to lead the sales team at Krome, working collectively to drive the business forward. The ethos and mentality of the directors were key factors for me when choosing to join Krome, their ambitious growth plans and drive to succeed attracted me to the organisation. My aim as the sales manager is to grow the salesforce and develop a highly focused and efficient sales team that is passionate about delivering the right solutions for clients, maintaining the company’s high service level expectations, and exceeding industry expectations, I am excited to now be part of the company.”

Jason Wake, Senior Technical Consultant, Microsoft Lync Specialist

Jason joins Krome after spending 11 years with previous company Dimension Data, Jason has joined Krome as a tier three technical consultant specialising in the design and implementation of Microsoft Lync solutions.

Whilst in his previous role as a Microsoft Support Engineer Jason spent 6 years supporting enterprise deployments of Microsoft Lync, gaining valuable experience with the various different iterations of Lync/OCS, Jason will reinforce the unified communications expertise within Krome. The deciding factor to join Krome was the concept of being part of a team where individuals are specialists in their own subject matter but also get to work collaboratively with other expert consultants. Jason comments: “In the very short time I’ve been here, I’ve seen a great deal of technical collaboration going on, something that doesn’t seem to happen in larger organisations, I very much hope to be a useful part of this collective soon.”

Adam Lewis – Junior Support Technician

Adam is fresh to the industry, after studying for his BTEC Information and Technology Diploma and HND in Computing, Adam has chosen Krome to kick start his career path within the IT industry. Adam has a good understanding of Windows and Linux environments and excels at troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading systems. Adam joins the first line support team at Krome and is excited to have been given the opportunity, Adam explains, “I had originally worked at Krome on a work experience placement, I was impressed with their team and the advice and experience I was offered throughout my placement, I am thrilled to have since been offered a full time position and am looking forward to building on my existing skills and applying them in a variety of different technical scenarios.”

Jenna Wright, Managed Accounts Administrator

Jenna has joined the managed accounts team as an administrator, responsible for assisting with the day-to-day customer service, project management and SLA achievement on one of Krome’s major accounts, Jenna’s previous working experience has included customer service, inventory management and purchasing roles, with as strong focus on the control and planning of stock requirements through data analysis. Jenna was attracted to Krome by the people and her desire to build on her project management skills, “from my first interview I really liked the look and feel of the company, their professional but friendly team felt to be a good fit for me. The role offers me an excellent opportunity to grow my project management skills whilst utilising the strong customer service skills I have gained in previous roles. I am confident that I will learn a great deal at Krome and will fit into the team here well,” commented Jenna.

Following this month’s new hires, Krome are also recruiting further team members, for both the southern and Manchester offices; looking to increase both technical and sales team head count. Krome has set high standards and growth goals for 2015 and are confident that their new team members will make a positive contribution to enabling them to achieve their goals and to continue to push the business ever forward.
